TRAVEL BASKETBALL

 

The travel basketball program is a competitive program that promotes teamwork and player development. Practice will be held weekly and players must be committed to participate in all scheduled events or the player can be excused from the team. Playing time is based on practice/game attendance, work ethic during practice, cooperative attitude  and game situations. The decision is solely in the hands of the coaching staff.

 

Teams will compete in the Fairfield County Basketball League (www.fcblhoops.org).

 

Teams will also play in some local tournaments and will be required to travel throughout the state.

 

Open to grades: 5th-8th

7/8 TEAM   Wed. October 12 and Fri. October 14 @ 6pm at the Center

5/6 TEAM   Wed. October 19 and Fri. October 21 @ 6pm at the Center

​

OPEN TO ALL BRIDGEPORT RESIDENTS

PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO THE TRYOUTS

$100.00 FEE for players selected to the team

Grade/Age - A player's division eligibility will be determined first by his or her grade and then by birth date. Proof of age is required with the team roster. Please refer to the table below:

        For the 2016-2017 Season

​

8th grade- born on or after – Sept 1, 2002

7th grade- born on or after – Sept 1, 2003

6th grade- born on or after – Sept 1, 2004

5th grade- born on or after – Sept 1, 2005
